Rob Floyd is the Director for Innovation and Digital Policy at the African Center for Economic Transformation, where he leads the think tank’s work on artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure and technology for green industrialisation. He also lead’s ACET’s work on global financial architecture reform. Prior to joining ACET, Rob was an executive at the World Bank where was a staff member for 29 years. At the World Bank he served in numerous roles including Chief of Staff to two World Bank Presidents, Director for Innovation, and Director for Strategy and Operations in the office of the CFO. He began his career at the World Bank in the Africa Region, first as an economist in the Office of the Vice President and later as Public Sector Specialist for Southern and Eastern Africa.
