Mr. José Gontijo, is the Director of the Department of Science, Technology and Digital Innovation (Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação Digital) (DECTI) at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation of Brazil. Currently is the Director of the Department of Digital Science, Technology and Innovation at the Secretariat of Entrepreneurship and Innovation – SEMPI. He is responsible for supporting the formulation of policies, guidelines, and goals related to digital innovation, scientific research and industrial, he also oversees and formulates the measures necessary for the implementation of national policies on automation, information and communication technology policies, such as those related to semiconductors, microelectronics, 6G and Internet of Things and in general the technological development of the information, communication and technology sector in Brazil.
