Terry Landers is Chairman of NSAI’s National ICT Standards Consultative Committee and recently departed the NSAI Board of Directors having served three terms. Prior to joining Microsoft, he worked in Ericsson Ireland where he served as Chief Technical Officer. During the early part of his career he also worked in Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC) as Senior Engineer. In the mid-1990’s, he worked with Forfás, the Irish Government Agency that was the national policy advisory board for enterprise, trade, science, technology and innovation in Ireland, on science and technology policy where he was secretary to Ireland’s Information Society and Technology Foresight initiatives, leading to the formation of Science Foundation Ireland, and worked extensively on EU Framework research programmes.
