Specialist in data mining and big data, Françoise Soulié-Fogelman trained at ENS and obtained her doctorate at the University of Grenoble. Computer mathematician and she taught at the University of Paris XI-Orsay where she supervised 20 theses. She founded Mimetics, which specializes in data mining software for automatic character reading (OCR), worked for Atos Origin and was part of the management team of KXEN until its takeover by SAP. She then joined the Institut Mines Télécom to work on TeraLab. She is the head of the Data Science team at the School of Computer Software at Tianjin University in China.
