The OECD.AI Policy Navigator

The National Artificial Intelligence Strategy of Zambia 2024–2026, led by the Ministry of Technology and Science, sets a national framework to use AI for economic growth, improved public services and inclusive development. It prioritises human capital development, digital infrastructure, data ecosystems, research and innovation, sectoral AI adoption and international collaboration, and establishes governance and ethical oversight through a National AI Council and Technical Working Groups.

The National School of Government (NSG) enhances public servants' capabilities through training programs to equip them with essential digital skills pertinent to the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

To facilitate research and development on emerging technologies a Government Regulatory Sandbox is provided through which digital innovations could be developed and tested safely.
