Emma Naji is the Executive Director of the AI Forum; a not-for-profit member driven organisation working to nurture the AI ecosystem. As a computer scientist, Emma firmly believes in the potential of AI to benefit all of society, while recognising the challenges that must be navigated. A strong advocate of New Zealand’s economic opportunity to produce world leading AI, Emma works to champion mindful, collaborative and ethical AI. The Forum recently published the ‘AI Principles’ as a first step to encourage the development and adoption of trustworthy AI in Aotearoa. Emma has a 20 year entrepreneurial career spanning tech, drones, and AI.
