Enabling accountability for trustworthy AI: A joint seminar by the OECD and Slovenia as 2021 President of the Council of the EU

A webinar featuring leading AI experts discussing how to ensure and enable accountability for trustworthy AI.

Background

The OECD and the Republic of Slovenia, in the context of the 2021 Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, organised the online discussion, “Enabling accountability for trustworthy AI”. The session took place on 2 November 2021, at 15:00 – 17:00 CET.

At this virtual conference, speakers shared experiences and perspectives on how best to ensure accountability for trustworthy AI. The event included two panels:

  • Panelists first presented existing efforts they are undertaking to build the evidence base to enable accountability for AI.
  • Panelists then discussed ways to assess and mitigate risks in AI systems with a focus on how best to ensure global interoperability.

The two panels were moderated by Peter Ješovnik, Slovenia’s ambassador to the OECD.
