Choose practical pathways and examples to shape your AI policy decisions. This is a beta version and will continue to be improved.

Navigating AI Policy: A practical Toolkit for governments and stakeholders

This OECD/GPAI initiative is a practical resource designed to help governments and stakeholders map their AI policy landscape, identify priorities, and explore concrete policy examples from other countries to inform their own policy design. Organised around six pillars - each covering a core area of the AI ecosystem and aligned with the OECD AI Principles - it provides a structured framework for AI policy development. The Toolkit does not evaluate, score, or rank countries on their AI policies or readiness.

Start here: Identify relevant policy priorities

This module helps countries map their AI policy landscape and identify gaps and priorities. It does not compare or rank countries. Complete the survey to unlock tailored policy examples.

Skip ahead: Find examples for your priorities
