Human Approval Gate Kit

The Human Approval Gate Kit is a practical educational resource for replacing the vague instruction "a human will review it" with a defined decision point before AI-assisted work may change, send, publish, charge, authorize, or otherwise affect real work.

Version 1.0.2 provides a practitioner guide, printable worksheet, facilitator notes for a 30-minute synthetic exercise, source Markdown, ten synthetic test cases in CSV and JSON, a JSON Schema, citation metadata, checksums, and a complete ZIP. The CLEAR test asks whether the consequence remains held, a qualified reviewer is listed, defined evidence is checked, accept, revise, reject, and escalate outcomes remain available, and the decision and recovery path are recorded. The kit is platform neutral and can support workflow planning, verification, and operation when adapted to the actual context.

The resource is free and published under CC BY 4.0. Every included example is synthetic. It is an author-designed proposed method grounded in public NIST AI Risk Management Framework, NIST Generative AI Profile, and HHS guidance. It is not validated research, a standard, certification, legal advice, clinical guidance, compliance assurance, or a guarantee. Users must adapt it to applicable law, contracts, privacy rules, security controls, professional duties, records requirements, accessibility needs, and organizational policy.
