Abel Torres

Abel Torres is Executive Director of the Center for Global Regulatory Cooperation at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, where he leads strategies on global policy and regulatory issues affecting the digital economy, including artificial intelligence, cloud computing, 5G, and blockchain. He previously held senior government affairs roles at UL Solutions and served in legislative and federal liaison positions at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and Texas Health and Human Services. Abel holds an M.Sc. in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from Georgetown University, an M.Sc. in Finance from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School, and a B.A. in Biology from St. Mary’s University.
