Alejandra Medina is a capital markets expert with over 15 years of experience in research, the finance industry, and policy advice. She currently leads the Financial Economics Unit in the Capital Markets and Financial Institutions Division at the OECD and oversees the strategic design and implementation of the OECD Corporate Governance Programme in Asia. Her team provides analysis and insights on emerging capital markets and corporate governance issues, including corporate access to finance, institutional investors, ownership structures, corporate sustainability, and market structures. Alejandra has advised Spain, Sweden, Italy, Portugal, Croatia, Romania, and the Philippines on enhancing the effectiveness of their capital markets in serving the real economy.
