Dmytro Voitekh is AI/ML Lead at Mriia, Ukraine’s national education platform, where he builds AI for two audiences: productivity tools that give teachers back their time — automated test generation, scheduling, content moderation — and AI tutors that personalise learning for school students at national scale. His wider focus is sovereign AI: adapting open models for Ukrainian-language public services, setting evaluation standards for LLM-based government systems, and the governance questions that follow when autonomous systems run inside state institutions.

He serves on Ukraine’s national AI committee at the Ministry of Digital Transformation, contributing benchmark design and evaluation to the country’s sovereign language model. He originated RUKOPYS, the first open dataset of Ukrainian handwriting, and its Handwritten to Data competition, which drew over 800 participants and produced models now digitising national archives.

Previously AI/ML Lead at GIPHY and CTO of S-PRO. He is completing a PhD on multi-agent reinforcement learning for energy systems, and is a core member of AI House, Ukraine’s largest AI community.
