
Jerome Nicolai
Programs and Policy Associate - Omidyar Network
Jerome Nicolai serves as programs and policy associate at Omidyar Network, where he participates in AI policy planning and analysis while contributing to the organization’s for-profit investments in AI. He also actively engages with grantees in the AI space and participates in strategic sense-making on emerging technologies. Prior to joining the organization, he was an associate at Techstars, a leading global pre-seed investor, where he supported early-stage startups and innovation ecosystems. Previously, he served as the digital economy attaché at the Embassy of France to the US, managing technology policy and contributing to the Embassy’s overall mission of fostering transatlantic partnerships. Earlier in his career, Jerome Nicolai was cloud policy coordinator at Microsoft’s European Government Affairs team, where he helped the company navigate the complex EU regulatory environment for cloud computing and advocated for policy solutions. During his graduate studies, he interned at the Court of Justice of the European Union, at the OECD, and at an international law firm. Jerome Nicolai holds a joint master’s degree in transatlantic affairs from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and the College of Europe, and a master’s in economic law from the Sciences Po Law School.
