Mai Lynn Miller Nguyen runs communications for The Future Society, a nonprofit organization with the mission to align artificial intelligence through better governance. Her work is informed by more than a decade of communications and advocacy experience with nonprofits and philanthropic organizations in the fields of human rights, social justice, and civic engagement, including at The Open Society Foundations from 2014-2021. She began her career as a writer and editor in the United States and Cambodia, and has also worked with The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the Alliance Française de Harare. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Culture and Politics from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service and a Master of Arts in Social Anthropology of Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
