Michael Pisa works on economic policy issues at Google, focusing on how governments can maximise the economic impact of AI and other digital technologies. Earlier, he served in a number of roles at the U.S. Treasury Department, including as a senior advisor to the Under Secretary of International Affairs and deputy director of the Office of International Finance. Michael was also a Fellow at the Center for Global Development, where his research focused on the relationship between digitalisation, governance, and economic growth. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, San Diego.
