The OECD Working Group on Agentic AI in Government brings together public officials from countries leading early efforts to use and govern agentic AI in the public sector. It explores the opportunities and challenges of AI systems that can move beyond answering questions to taking action. Members share emerging national experiences, identify common governance priorities and develop practical guidance and resources. The group helps governments make informed decisions about whether, where and how to use agentic AI to improve public services and administration, while safeguarding accountability and public trust. It also examines how governments can prepare for interactions with agents operated by citizens and other actors. More information about the group is available here.
