The National Program for Artificial Intelligence is a multi-year program, budgeted at about NIS 1 billion so far. It relies on a central directorate and on theimplementation capabilities of its member organizations. Its operations include coordinating the work of all relevant governmental entities. The Program is intended tomaintain Israel's global leadership on AI including Research, Infrastructure, Talent, Data, Regulatory Environment, and AI Adoption

This initiative aims to improve financial services, reduce costs, and boost innovation. It promotes responsible AI use while addressing risks like bias, data misuse, and lack of transparency. The initiative focuses on flexible, sector-specific regulation. Policymakers and regulators are working together to ensure fair, safe, and effective AI integration that benefits consumers and supports sustainable financial growth.

The expert forum will assist in developing a governmental strategy and policy for promoting the safe use of artificial intelligence, aiming to encourage innovation and maximize the technology’s social and economic benefits.

The national program’s Scientific Advisory Committee, the PBC is happy to launch a new Call for Proposals: AI for Science Moonshot.
