The "Digital Switzerland" Strategy provides the guidelines for government action and indicates where and how authorities, academia, the private sector, civil society and politics must work together in order to shape the transformation process for the benefit of everyone in Switzerland.

The "European Lighthouse on Secure and Safe AI" (ELSA) project networks excellent researchers from 26 top research institutions and companies in Europe to pool their expertise in the field of AI and machine learning.

The Swiss National Supercomputing Centre, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and NVIDIA are developing a new supercomputer, which will have seven times more powerful AI capabilities than the current leading system in the world.

The guiding framework consists of the following seven guidelines:- Putting people at the heart of the matter- Conditions conducive to the development and use of AI- Transparency, traceability, and explainability- Liability- Security- Involvement of all relevant actors at national and international level

Within the framework of its "Digital Switzerland" strategy, the Swiss Federal Council established a working group within the federal administration on the subject of AI.
