The OECD Global Parliamentary group on AI

The OECD Global Parliamentary Network created a thematic parliamentary group on Artificial Intelligence, with a networking and educational component to help inform national legislative processes.

The OECD Global Parliamentary Network was formed in 2011 to foster a meaningful dialogue with legislators about best practices and how to translate them into legislation.

The Network is a learning hub for lawmakers and parliamentary officials and works in partnership with parliamentary assemblies, organisations, and the European Parliament. Its flexible structure allows legislators from across the political spectrum to share experiences, identify good practices and foster international legislative co-operation.

In October 2019, the members of the Network requested the creation of a thematic parliamentary group on Artificial Intelligence, with a networking and educational (technical and policy) component to help inform national legislative processes.
