Director - UK’s AI Security Institute (AISI)

Adam is Interim Director of the UK’s AI Security Institute (AISI), a world-leading government organisation dedicated to understanding and mitigating the security risks posed by artificial intelligence.

He was previously a senior national security leader and GCHQ’s Chief AI Officer, specialising in managing AI risks and opportunities. He oversaw strategic initiatives to understand AI threats, enhance security, and accelerate responsible AI adoption across the community.

Adam’s experience includes leading a cutting-edge AI research lab, fostering public-private partnerships to tackle key security challenges and crisis leadership during major terrorist incidents. He has also advised on security and defence policy in both Whitehall and Washington.
