Alek Tarkowski is the Director of Strategy at Open Future. He has 20 years of experience in public interest advocacy, movement building, and research on the intersection of society, culture, and digital technologies. He is also a member of the Board at Wikimedia Europe, and a former strategic advisor to the Prime Minister of Poland (2008-2011). He graduated from the University of Warsaw and holds a PhD in sociology from the Polish Academy of Sciences.
