
Amin Oueslati
Senior Associate - The Future Society (TFS)
Amin is a Senior Associate at The Future Society, where he focuses on European AI Governance and the implementation of the EU AI Act, particularly with regard to general-purpose AI. Through past research efforts, he brings expertise specifically on auditing regimes, model evaluations, and regulatory sandboxes. Additionally, he has been actively involved in shaping the national implementation of the EU AI Act in Germany.
Previously, Amin conducted AI governance research projects with various institutions, including the University of Oxford, the Weizenbaum Institute, and the Bertelsmann Foundation. He avidly seeks to inform policymakers through his work, which has been presented in hearings to the German Parliament, consultations with various political parties, and at conferences such as the European Workshop on Algorithmic Fairness, the European Political Science Association, and Re:Publica.
Amin began his professional career as a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he developed data-driven software solutions and digital strategies for government. He holds a BSc in Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE) from University College London and an MSc in Data Science for Public Policy from the Hertie School in Berlin.
