Irene works at the IEEE Europe Office in Vienna on governance and standardization aspects of the green and digital transformation, metaverse, and AI ethics. She identifies opportunities and engages the IEEE Europe Office into Horizon Europe projects.
Irene has over 15 years of experience in the field of IP, gathered at the World Intellectual Property Organization and the European Patent Office, and expertise in patent analytics. She conceptualized and led the WIPO Technology Trends flagship publication and Patent Landscape Report series (over 20 publications in different technology areas), building and leading big project teams, partnering with different stakeholders and world leading experts, developing innovative approaches to provide meaningful insights and business intelligence.
