Jennifer Bernal is the Acting Head of Policy and Partnerships at DeepMind. She has worked at the intersection of public policy and technology for a decade. Before joining DeepMind, Jennifer managed Google’s policy strategy for media issues and intellectual property in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. She has also held policy roles based in California and in Washington, DC. Jennifer works with governments and the policy community, supporting discussions about the governance of new technologies and ensuring that public interests in creating safe and ethical AI are reflected in DeepMind’s research.
