JOSÉ GONTIJO holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Brasília (2002), with specialization in Public Management in Science and Technology (2009). He is a career servant at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Senior Science & Technology Analyst). Since 2019 he works at the MINISTRY OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION as the Director of Science, Technology and Digital Innovation and Deputy Secretary at the Secretariat for Entrepreneurship and among his attributions are the Brazilian strategy for digital transformation, the national plan for the internet of things, the Brazilian strategy for artificial intelligence, the national policy on microelectronics and semiconductors, the national policy on R,D&I for the information and communication technology –ICT, sector, policies and projects focused on digital literacy and ICT professional training, policies and projects focused on advanced communications such as OPENRAN, 5G and 6G, among others.
