Machiel Bolhuis
Director, Standards & Technology Policy EMEA - Oracle
Machiel Bolhuis is Director, Standards & Technology Policy EMEA for Oracle where he is responsible for engagements related to standards, compliance, and Open Source Software (OSS) policy in the EMEA region. He participates in working groups of the European Standardisation Organisations that focus on AI and cybersecurity standards, related to upcoming EU legislation such as the AI Act, Cyber Resilience Act and the EU Cloud Cybersecurity Certification Scheme (EUCS).
He previously worked on competition law and cybersecurity and privacy regulation at several national and international companies. He has published various articles on these topics and holds a MSc in cybersecurity from the Leiden University.
