Marjoleine Hennis is Counsellor at the Permanent Representation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the OECD, working on Responsible Business Conduct (RBC) and Digitalisation. She is also holds a position of Senior Associate Fellow at Clingendael Institute of International Relations. Prior to this she has worked at the OECD as the Advisor to the Chair of the OECD Working Party on Responsible Business Conduct (WP RBC). Her activities centred around the link between RBC and digitalisation, industrial relations, and policy coherence.

She started her professional life in academia, after completing her doctoral thesis at the European University Institute in Florence (Italy). She worked for ten years as an Assistant Professor of International Political Economy and European Integration at the University of Groningen, the University of Amsterdam, and Trinity College, and was Jean Monnet Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies.
