Olivier Alais is a digital governance and human rights specialist, serving as Program Coordinator at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). He works to integrate human rights into technology standards and promote multistakeholder engagement. A former fellow at Harvard’s Berkman Klein Center, he has led initiatives on open data, cybersecurity, and digital inclusion. Previously, he directed the USAID-funded Information Safety and Capacity (ISC) Project and led digital inclusion efforts at the French Development Agency. At ITU, he collaborates with diverse stakeholders to shape a digital future that upholds human rights and inclusion.
