Patrick Gilroy
Head of Artificial Intelligence & Education - TÜV Association
Dr Patrick Gilroy is Head of AI & Education at TÜV Association since 2022. He accompanies EU AI Act implementation, the TÜV AI.Lab, and leads on topics and events from Trustworthy AI to Future Skills. Previously, he was a consultant for strategic AI initiatives at Helmholtz Association, project leader at Stifterverband, and worked with Freedom House, German Marshall Fund of the US and Transparency International.
His doctoral thesis on EU think tanks, supervised by Hertie School of Governance and Stanford University, included a Visiting Fellowship with Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS). Gilroy holds a Master of Public Policy from Hertie School, where he worked as a guest lecturer, and studied social sciences in Düsseldorf and Brussels. Gilroy lives in Berlin with his family and three kids.
