Sam Mitchell is an AI Policy Analyst at the OECD. He works on the AI and Future of Skills team in the Directorate for Education and Skills (EDU). He is the editor of Introducing the AI Capability Indicators which was released on June 3 and its accompanying technical volume due for release on July 17. He is also the coordinator of EDU’s AI Lab. Before joining the OECD, Sam worked as a Research Engineer at École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris, working on the statistical modelling of language change and the comparative assessment of machine translation models. He has an MSc in Cognitive Linguistics from ENS and a BA in philosophy from New York University.
