Sayoko Blodgett-Ford is Associate Professor and the inaugural Edmund Sease Research Professor at Drake University Law School. She specialises in intellectual property, artificial intelligence, and privacy law. Prior to joining Drake, Sayoko was a Principal at GTC Law Group PC and an adjunct professor at Boston College Law School, the University of Hawaii William S. Richardson School of Law, and the University of Washington Law School IP LLM program. She also served as acting General Counsel at Tetris Online, Inc. and as Senior Manager, Intellectual Property at Nintendo of America Inc. Sayoko graduated from Yale Law School in 1994. She has an M.A. in Philosophy from Columbia, an M.S. in Physics from the University of Maryland, and completed a Bioethics Fellowship (with a research focus on AI) at NYU.
