Senior human rights officer - United Nations Office of the Higher Commissioner for Human Rights

Scott Campbell is a senior human rights officer of the United Nations Office of the Higher Commissioner for Human Rights where he leads their work on digital technology and human rights.

His work involved collaboration, partnerships, and advocacy with Member States, the private sector and civil society organizations, and across the United Nations. He has served as Africa Section Chief for UN Human Rights in Geneva, responsible for the work of the UN’s human rights field presences in West and Central Africa. From 2011 to 2014, he was the Representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and has spent a total of 11 years living and working in Central Africa.
