Taras Holoyad

After graduating from Technical University of Braunschweig (Electrical Engineering M.Sc.), Taras Holoyad gained experience in the automotive industry (calculation of electrical machines) and afterwards switched to standardisation of information and communications technology.
At present, he focuses on standardisation of Artificial Intelligence at the Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) in Germany. From a research perspective, his focus lies on Knowledge Representation and Machine Learning methods. With regard to standardisation, Taras is involved into discussions on requirements regarding Artificial Intelligence at different working groups at the national level (DIN/DKE) as well as worldwide (ETSI, ISO/IEC and ITU). Building on that, along with represantatives from research and industry, he elaborates a taxonomy for assessing the damage potential of AI applications.
Moreover, in order to sharpen the awareness regarding sustainability, Taras attends the degree program ‚Sustainable Urban Transformation‘ at University Nordhausen.
