Winston Maxwell coordinates the « Operational AI Ethics » program at Télécom Paris, an interdisciplinary research and teaching program focusing on designing and applying operational AI ethics solutions to artificial intelligence use cases, including facial recognition, credit scoring, anti-money laundering, ethical search and recommendation engines. Winston holds a JD from Cornell Law School, a PhD in economics from Télécom Paris, and an HDR (habilitation à diriger des recherches) in law from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne law school. Before becoming a full-time academic, Winston was a partner at Hogan Lovells, co-leading of the firm’s global technology, media and telecoms (TMT) practice.
