
Yohann Ralle
Director of European AI Governance - The Future Society (TFS)
Yohann Ralle is Director of European AI Governance at The Future Society, leading the organisation’s efforts to advance Europe’s AI sovereignty and safety agenda, with a focus on the institutional and technological capacity required to make AI safety effective.
In roles spanning the United Kingdom and France, Yohann has supported the development and implementation of two national AI strategies.
As Deputy National Coordinator for AI within the French government, he co-led the National AI Strategy, mobilising over €1.2 billion in public investment to strengthen compute, open-source, talent, and innovation. Previously, Yohann was part of the UK Government’s Office for AI, where he supported the early design of the country’s first AI strategy.
Over six years in the United Kingdom, he also worked at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), focusing on competition issues in digital and payment services.
Yohann holds an LLM from King’s College London, where he specialised in Competition Policy and Information Technology, and a Bachelor’s in Economics and Law from Sorbonne University (Paris I).
