Yolanda Lannquist
Head of Research & Advisor - The Future Society
Yolanda is Director of Global AI Governance at The Future Society, where she directs AI governance advisory projects with international organizations, governments, companies, academia and nonprofits. Yolanda is an appointed expert to the OECD AI Policy Observatory, U.S. NIST AI Safety Institute Consortium, UN Broadband Commission on AI Capacity Building and The Economist. In 2020-2022, she supported the development of three National AI Strategies in Africa with GIZ and government ministries towards inclusion and sustainable development goals.
Yolanda has a Master in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School and Bachelors degrees in Economics and European Studies from Columbia University with Phi Beta Kappa honors. She is currently a Consultant at The World Bank’s Digital Development team on AI policy in developing countries. Prior, Yolanda advised Fortune 500 multinationals on machine learning, innovation and market strategy as a consultant in Copenhagen. She also worked on digital trade and regulation at the U.S. Embassy in Paris and on global human capital research at The Conference Board in New York. Yolanda is Turkish-American and is based in San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
