Yolanda is Head of Research & Advisory at The Future Society (TFS), an independent nonprofit specializing in AI policy originally incubated at Harvard Kennedy School. She directs projects focused on responsible AI adoption for international organizations, development agencies, governments, companies, academia and nonprofits. Yolanda leads the program ‘Responsible AI for Development’ (RAI4D) focused on AI for sustainable and inclusive development in the Global South. This includes national AI strategies with GIZ and government partners in Rwanda, Tunisia, and Ghana. She also leads international AI policy research with the OECD, Global Partnership on AI, World Bank Digital Development, and more. Yolanda taught AI policy at IE University in Madrid.

Yolanda has a Master in Public Policy from Harvard University and Bachelors in Economics and European Studies from Columbia University. She previously advised Fortune 500 multinationals on machine learning and innovation as a business strategy consultant in Copenhagen. She also researched digital trade and regulation at the U.S. Embassy in Paris and human capital at The Conference Board in New York. Yolanda is Turkish-American and lives in San Francisco.
