Yong Chan Jung
Senior Research Fellow and Executive Director of the ICT Data Science Research Division - Korea Information Society Development Institute
Mr. Yong Chan Jung is a Senior Research Fellow and Executive Director of the ICT Data Science Research Division at the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI). He is a vice-chair for Working Party on Measurement and Analysis of the Digital Economy (MADE) in OECD, a member of Social Security Committee under the Prime Minister of Korea, a member of Media Diversity Promotion Committee of Korea Communications Committee, and a member of National Statistics Committee of Korea. He was a Research Fellow of Korean Broadcasting Commission, Director of Data and Information Consulting Group, and a Senior Researcher of Korea Institute for Defense Analysis (KIDA).
Mr. Jung’s research areas include ICT industry statistical survey and analysis, development of future forecasting models based on structured and unstructured data, statistical governance and data governance, and national AI, data strategy. He has published on a range of topics, including Issues Social Development Index, Forecasting Models, Database and Ontology for ICT, Big Data and AI Algorithm, National Statistical Management System, and Data Governance. Mr. Jung received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Korea University in 1996.
