Initiative overview

The AI Factories initiative by the European Commission aims to establish a network of advanced AI development hubs across Europe. These facilities leverage high-performance computing resources from the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking to support the creation of large-scale, trustworthy AI models. The project is designed to foster collaboration among researchers, startups, SMEs, and industry by providing access to computing power, data, and expertise. AI Factories will serve various sectors including health, climate, manufacturing, and finance, and are part of a broader strategy to strengthen Europe’s position in global AI innovation.
