Initiative overview

Digitalization and artificial intelligence are the key to reconciling environmental protection, road safety and increasing traffic volumes and enabling individual mobility.The measures are divided into five priority areas of action:-Expansion of a high-performance, digital infrastructure-Equipping transport infrastructure with the necessary digital technology-Creation of a comprehensive and reliable database-Promotion of innovative technologies and their regulation for the automation and networking of vehicles, processes and services for all modes of transport-Networking of measures and actors across all modes of transportObjectives:To make "Mobility 4.0" effective and sustainable by exploiting the great efficiency potential of digital innovations and artificial intelligence in mobility for all modes of transport and for the entire mobility system with regards to the climate targets and the European Green Deal.To allow digital applications and AI to develop their full potential in mobility and to make them tangible for citizens.
