The Strategy for the Development of Artificial Intelligence in the Republic of Serbia from 2020 to 2025 defines the introduction of content on artificial intelligence into our educational system. As part of the curriculum in the seventh grade, the subjects Engineering and Technology and Informatics and Computing are compulsory.

Initiative overview

Twice a week during the school year, seventh grade students study the role and importance of artificial intelligence through these subjects, but also gain knowledge about its application in everyday life and the impact of artificial intelligence on humans.In the eighth grade, students continue to expand their knowledge of artificial intelligence through the compulsory subject of Engineering and Technology. Students have two hours a week at their disposal to assemble and control a simple school robot with the use of artificial intelligence by the end of the school year, thanks to construction modeling.
