This regulation is envisaged by the latest amendments to the Law on Traffic Safety and Roads (hereinafter: ZOBS) and will provide a clear and predictable procedure for persons who want to test vehicles with an automated driving system in real traffic.

Initiative overview

Testing will be allowed to legal entities based in the Republic of Serbia that want to test heavy quadricycles, passenger vehicles or freight vehicles whose weight does not exceed three and a half tons. It is possible to test Level 3 and Level 4 autonomous driving vehicles in accordance with technical standards, but the conditions for issuing a Level 4 vehicle license include additional checks and controls
