Initiative overview

Despite a wealth of data available on developments related to AI, this information is often not accessible in a centralised manner, thus hindering evidence-based discussion about developments related to AI. The AI Monitor seeks to address this issue by collecting and presenting quantitative data from a variety of sources, mainly publiclyavailable, and by supplementing this dashboard with information about existing initiatives which provide some form of support for actors in the Austrian AI ecosystem. In addition, qualitative assessments of the Austrian AI Advisory Board and the AI Stakeholder Forum on the opportunities and challenges related to AI will help tomonitor these developments from multiple perspectives. The Austrian AI Monitor will be hosted on digitalaustria.gv.at and will be published in 2025 with annual updates. The AI Monitor will be able to integrate further initiatives and data points, allowing for a gradual expansion of itsscope.
