BMUV has established its Eco AI Lab, a contact point for anyone who wants to use digital tools, data analysis and AI for environmental protection. BMFSFJ supports civil society in collecting, using and dissemination of data with its Civic Data Lab.Objectives:The aim of Civic Coding is to spread the social use of AI for the common good, to promote AI skills on a broad basis and to take up social impulses for the social and sustainable design of AI technology. Civic Coding bundles the AI projects of the involved ministries that aim at the common good-oriented use of AI technologies and links them on the basis of common structures to an ecosystem that is also open to other actors. The goal is to develop a visible and effective innovation network that supports and secures the common good-oriented development and use of AI, including generative AI, in the long term.
