Initiative overview

Lithuania’s Ministry of Education, Science and Sport is leading a reform to bring artificial intelligence into classrooms at all levels of education. The initiative responds to the growing need for students and teachers to understand and use AI in a safe, informed way. Its main objective is to apply international recommendations on AI in schools and ensure that lessons integrate these tools responsibly and effectively.

The programme is coordinated with the National Education Agency and the Lithuanian Artificial Intelligence Association, which provide consultations, guidance, and teacher training. This support helps educators learn how to use AI in teaching while addressing ethical and safety concerns.
