Initiative overview

In the 2010s decade there had been a growing tendency on Deep Learning, and in the meantime on intensive cloud computing. From Deep Learning Framework (Tensorflow, Pytorch) to computing hardware (AMD, Nvidia, Intel) the market had been dominated by a few numbers of actors, mostly American and Europe was roughly left aside. In the recent years there have been a shift of attention toward Edge AI and embedded application.Europe not only have a role to play in those new techologies yet to emerge, but those have a special importance for the continent, whose industries are historically very oriented on sectors like automotive or aeronautic which would be very relying on Edge AI.The initiative has the following objectives:Develop and maintain a sovereign and trustworthy platform for embedded AI in critical and strategic applications, especially for defence and critical systems (power grid, transportation network, etc.).
