In the 2022–2023 school year, Romania introduced the optional subject “Introduction to Machine Learning” in upper secondary education (grades 11 and 12). This initiative, approved by the Ministry of Education through Order no. 4049/2022, aims to equip students with foundational digital skills essential for future careers. The curriculum was developed by a team of experts, including Dr. Viorica Păliucean, Dr. Răzvan Pașcanu, and others.
