The National AI Initiative Act of 2020 is DIVISION E, SEC. 5001 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021.The initiative has the following objective(s):To ensure continued United States leadership in AI R&D.To lead the world in the development and use of trustworthy AI systems in the public and private sectors.To prepare the present and future U.S. workforce for the integration of AI systems across all sectors of the economy and society.To co-ordinate ongoing AI research, development, and demonstration activities among the civilian agencies, the Department of Defense, and the Intelligence Community to ensure that each informs the work of the others.
