In 2017, a memorandum was signed between the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan and IBM. The following year, the IBM Watson pilot project was launched for cancer treatment at Kazakhstan's Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology on artificial intelligence in the field of oncology.The initiative has the following objectives:To help doctors identify risks in patient's medical records and look for relevant treatment options to eliminate unnecessary care.To improve the treatment of cancer in patients.
