Initiative overview

The ministry is preparing a policy framework for the responsible use of generative AI across public administration. The framework is intended to establish clear principles around accountability, transparency, security, and effective recourse for citizens when AI systems influence administrative decisions. This is part of a broader effort to ensure that AI systems used by government remain trustworthy, fair, and aligned with public values.

At the same time, the Directorate for Digital Literacy & Transversal Skills (DDLTS) is actively adopting and referencing European Union AI frameworks and UNESCO guidance in its work on AI in education. This shows a commitment to aligning national educational initiatives with international standards for ethical and responsible AI in learning contexts
