Towards the Food Factory of the Future is a roadmap by Flanders’ FOOD to modernize the agri-food sector in Flanders. It connects producers, researchers, and technology providers to make food production smarter, more sustainable, and more people-focused. The initiative targets four areas: better quality control through sensors and data, digital automation, circular use of resources, and workforce skills. Through projects and partnerships, it aims to especially help SMEs test and adopt tools like AI, machine learning, and energy-efficient systems.
